Comments on Verses from Prophets

Micah 4:2 “…and many nations shall come, and say: ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.’”

One thing we know right away, the new kingdom will attract people from all over the world. The call of Jesus will appeal to men and women of many nations. This new kingdom is universal because it is not an earthly territorial kingdom but a spiritual one. It calls to the heart of man and the soul of man. It promises inner gifts rather than earthly riches. People of the world are called by these spiritual gifts and so they go to the mountain of the Lord and to His house.

In the spiritual kingdom, earthly possessions are unimportant but spiritual blessings are abundant. One of those blessings is the imparting of God’s word so that members of the kingdom can walk in the right paths. The kingdom would begin in Jerusalem which we see take place on the first Pentecost after the resurrection of God’s son. The book of Acts tells the story of the coming of the kingdom with the preaching of the gospel. The word of God is still available to those in the kingdom.

Task for Today: Today, come to the mountain of the Lords’ house and become a citizen of the kingdom. All its richest blessings, including salvation will be yours. Today, immerse yourself in the spiritual truths of that word. Wonderful things await you in the kingdom of Christ. Already in the kingdom? Don’t miss out on all the blessings. Participate in the kingdom that encompasses the world and the world to come.
