A Ministry and a Message
We are Christ’s ambassadors to the world. We don’t bring our own message but rather the message of our King. As ambassadors we don’t need any special training nor do we need any man given title of authority. All we need is a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus the Christ. Every person we encounter is a possible recipient of the good news.
We don’t need to leave our homeland or learn another language. We don’t even have to leave our home town. Every day we encounter people who need to know about the saving work of Jesus. We may be the only ambassador they meet that day or year. Each of us who are Christians have the good news in our hearts and we only need to open our hearts and share it.
In a recent Bible class lesson the following statement was made: “It’s not enough to be nice people. We have something specific to say: God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them.”
Task for Today: Determine to be more than just a nice person. Determine to be an active ambassador for Christ to the people you meet each day. But, be a nice person, too.
