The Word of God is replete with the use of the preposition “if.” All these wonderful blessings we experience in Christ because of the love of God are introduced with the big IF word. God is faithful and there is no if about it. The “if’s” all belong to mankind. Yes, we share in everything to do with Christ as long as we stay faithful.

If we walk in the light we have fellowship with God and each other. Salvation is ours through grace if we obey God’s commands. Many teach that there is no if; just acknowledge Jesus and all is well for the rest of life. Not what the Bible teaches.

Task for Today: Live your life in Jesus acknowledging the “ifs”. God has done His part but you must do yours. Today, do a search in your Bible for the “ifs” and see how you are doing. Don’t worry about God doing what He has done and does. You are the variable.
