Post Rapture

Post Rapture

After the rapture, according to dispensationalist, certain events will take place according to their end-time doctrine. They are briefly:

1. The rapture will be followed by a period of seven years which will see the judgments of God poured out on the non-Christians. A world leader (Antichrist) will arise and make a covenant of peace with Israel. After three and a half years he will break the covenant and begin a world wide persecution of the Jewish people and any ‘new’ Christians.

2. At the end of the seven years Jesus will return to the earth and lead His army against the Antichrist and his army. This is the battle of Armageddon. Many of the Jews who survive will be converted to Christ. Those not converted will be put to death and will not participate in the great millennium.

3. The Gentiles not killed in war will be judged. Some will enter the millennium and some will go into Hell.

4. The Israelites and Gentiles who are saved will enter the millennium in their natural state, that is, they will not be glorified.

5. Satan will be bound.

6. Jesus will begin to reign in Jerusalem over these Israelites and Gentiles.

7. This group will marry and have children. They will live a long time but eventually they will die.

8. There will be world peace and prosperity. Worship will be at the new temple in Jerusalem. Animal offerings will be made but will not be for sin since these people are sinless.

9. The raptured souls and those killed by the Antichrist will enter New Jerusalem which will be located above the earth.

10. Other resurrections will occur and the great white throne judgment will happen.

11. The new heavens and new earth are created and the saved will begin their eternal state with God.

Task for Today: Compare this with your reading of the gospels and the New Testament letters. Reread Daniel chapter nine. You will need help, lots of help to find these events.
