Comments on James

Chapter 2, Verse 13 “For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”

Don’t you just love the way James gets down to where the rubber meets the road? No beating around the bush and no fancy language. Just the naked truth. Whose judgment is he talking about? Those who showed partiality rather than love? Sure, you got it. Do we have any sins? Yes, you answer. Have we been shown mercy for those sins? Yes, you answer.

Do you show mercy? One hundred percent? All the time? To everyone? Just asking for a friend. Look at our choice! Mercy or judgment. Judgment or mercy. Which do we want and which do we give?

Task for Today: Take a good look at your feelings towards others. Any judging going on? Do you have any reason to withhold mercy and replace it with judging? Then don’t do it because what you do can be passed on to you.
