Comments on James

Chapter 2, Verse 9 “But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.”

Failure to love others as ourselves (we understand this concept) is a sin. We do well when we love others, and we sin when we don’t. The law of God which is a law of love accepts no other point of view. To refuse to love anyone is simply a denial of the law of love and the demand of God. He gave us the story of Jesus to prove the point. “Father forgive them…” was Jesus answer to the law of love and it must be ours as well.

Task for Today: Stop showing partiality in any way in the kingdom of God. Christians may look and sometimes act different on the outside, but inside they are identical.
