“So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

What a wonderful thing to know, that there is something we can have complete confidence in. It is so hard to find complete trust in this world today. The entire premise of faith is trust. It is believing that God is and that He does what He says He will do every single time. No failures on God’s part ever.

God is my helper. Regardless of how others may or may not show fidelity, God is faithful to His children. He always does what is right. Always! It may not seem right to us, but God knows what we don’t, and He is our helper in times of need. He is always good, and He is always good to us, His children.

What is the worst thing men can do to you? Tortue? Kill? Steal your stuff? Tell lies about you? If you are a Christian, a child of God, then you know that none of those things matter in the light of eternity. Man cannot reach you beyond this life, which gives you an eternity to live in joy. Whether your name is Job or Jonah, God will ultimately rescue you.

Task for Today: Put aside fear today. No man can take your heavenly home away from you. No one can snatch you out of your savior’s hand. Trust God with all your heart. Those who suffered at the hands of men now look down as a part of that cloud of witnesses. They live victoriously and call you to join them.
