Hebrews 13:3

“Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.”

While this may very well be an admonition to Christians to take care of their fellow Christian brothers and sisters, the principle is still a good one. Even today, Christians are being held captive by non-believing governments. Even today, Christians are being mistreated to the point of death by non-believing countries. Those of us who live in freedom are obligated to take the side of those who are oppressed. Some will become activists and take up their cause; others will offer to support those activists with funds. Still, others will approach the throne with supplications.

Task for Today: How will you remember your brothers and sisters who are being persecuted? This is another way to show brotherly love. Will you continue it today?
