Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

Well known and often quoted verse about the place of faith in a relationship with God. You cannot please God, enjoy His favor, receive His reward, without believing that He is God. Notice that faith has two major parts here. First, it is the inner knowledge that God is real; that He actually is the God of the universe. Before anything positive can happen you must believe that God is who he says He is. Second, you must believe that He does what He says He will do.

God rewards those who come seeking Him through faith. His promises are great and wonderful, but they are also reliable. God always does what He says He will do. His word does not return to Him void but always accomplishes His will. Everything in the universe does His will. Do you believe that?

Task for Today: Trust God with everything today. Hold nothing back but believe He can do what He has proclaimed. This is especially true in your life. Acknowledge Him with all your heart, mind, and soul. Accept the abundant life today and forever.
