Hebrews 7:25

“Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”

He continues forever. Because He does, He is able to save those who come through him seeking the salvation of God. He continues forever. Because He does, He makes intercession for all who come seeking salvation. Year after year, new pilgrims come seeking the forgiveness of God. The years turn into centuries, and Jesus is still the high priest before the throne of God, offering the appropriate sacrifice on behalf of salvation seekers.

The salvation Jesus procures is not temporary or partial. Unlike the priesthood He superseded, His work is perpetual. For all of time Jesus sits at the right hand of God interceding for the lost souls of mankind. That intercession will only come to an end when time ends. After that, those who accepted Him as savior will dwell with Him in eternal bliss.

Task for Today: Want to be saved to the uttermost? Then today, right now, draw near to God through the priesthood of Jesus. Have no fears, Jesus is ready today, right now, to speak to God on your behalf. Accept God’s forgiving grace and do His will. Salvation can be yours today!
