Hebrews 6:10

“For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints as you still do.”

This verse helps us key in on several things. God is a just God. That, of course, is a two-way street. He is just, but He is not unjust. He knows what is happening in the world and He takes it into account. God is a witness to every kind deed we do, and He encourages us to do His will and His work.

We show our love for God by serving others. Whatever we do to help others is a fulfillment of God’s desire for us and loving others is the best way to show our love for God. If we don’t love others we can’t say that we love God. Jesus made it clear in His remarks about the judgment that what good deeds we do for the very least we do for Him.

This verse also hints at another fact we know, that is, that God rewards the faithful. God rewards our works of love. Those who bless are blessed.

Task for Today: Continue doing good works. Continue to show love to the saints. Let your light shine today as you reflect God’s light. Don’t do it for the reward but for the love of Christ.
