Comments on Philippians

Chapter 2, Verse 26 “…for he has been longing for you all and has been distressed because you heard that he was ill.”

The journey from Philippi to Rome took around 40 days. Round trip news took at least twice as long. This time lapse has greatly affected Epaphroditus since he has not been able to communicate with his church for so many days. He wants to see them and let them know he is getting well. Paul is planning on solving the long distance and lack of communication problem. He will send Epaphroditus back to Philippi to convey that both he and Paul are doing well.

Task for Today: Keep in touch with friends in the Lord. Call, write, visit as much as you can so that no one is distressed as to your health and well-being. We live in the easiest time in history to communicate. Is there anyone you haven’t talked to lately that you need to know about or need them to know about you. Don’t delay. Let them know how God is blessing your life.
