Chapter 2, Verse 11 “…and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
All glory belongs to God. It belongs to God the Father and Jesus Christ the Lord and the Holy Spirit. God, meaning the Godhead, is to receive all glory from the creation. Everything about the creation must give glory to God. Nothing exists without His creative power. So glorious is He that even inanimate things must exalt Him. When time and this world end everything living will bow and confess.
God asks us to do it now. He wants us to recognize Him now. Every day He awaits our surrender. He desires to reward us for giving Him the glory. We should begin our day and end it with that acknowledgment.
Task for Today: Get ahead of the game. Confess that Jesus is Lord, that he is God. Then live the confession. Let your life and your tongue be in harmony before the world. How many of your friends know this truth? Tell them today! Jesus is Lord, He is my God.
